Department of Biomedical Devices Engineering Technologies

The Department of Biomedical Engineering Technology is one of the specialized scientific departments at the College of Engineering Technology, University of Gilgamesh. The department integrates engineering sciences with modern medical applications to prepare qualified technical engineers equipped with scientific knowledge and practical skills required in healthcare and technological sectors. The department was established according to the approval of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research / Department of Private University Education under reference No. (D T H A Q/17672) dated 19/10/2022, and officially started admitting students in the academic year 2023–2024. The department aims to prepare technical engineers capable of operating, maintaining, calibrating, and troubleshooting medical devices, as well as contributing to the development of modern medical systems and technologies that support healthcare institutions. The department adopts modern academic programs and advanced laboratories that combine theoretical and practical aspects, with a strong focus on practical training and scientific research to keep pace with rapid developments in biomedical engineering and biotechnology.
