Department of Cybersecurity Engineering Technologies

The Department of Cybersecurity Engineering Technology is one of the modern specialized departments at the College of Engineering Technology – University of Gilgamesh. It was established in response to the rapid developments in digital transformation and information technology, as well as the increasing need to protect systems, networks, and data from cyber threats and electronic attacks. The department started admitting students in the academic year 2025–2026. It aims to prepare technical engineers equipped with scientific knowledge and practical skills in cybersecurity, network security, cloud computing, penetration testing, digital risk analysis, and protection of digital infrastructure in line with local, regional, and global labor market requirements. The department adopts modern academic curricula that combine theoretical and practical aspects, with a strong focus on specialized laboratories, practical simulations, and field training. This approach ensures the preparation of graduates capable of designing, implementing, and managing secure digital systems while dealing with cyber threats according to international quality and information security standards.
